Mark Walsh is a partner and co-founder of Silverpeak. He is responsible for the platform’s strategic initiatives and origination activities, and also serves as the non-executive Chairman of Argentic Management, the firm’s commercial real estate lending platform.
Before founding Silverpeak, Mark Walsh headed Lehman Brothers’ Global Real Estate Group and served as Global Co-Head of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity. During his 20 years at Lehman Brothers, the firm became a leading debt and equity investment platform both domestically and globally.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mark Walsh was a lawyer where he represented financial institutions in all aspects of commercial mortgage loan origination, workouts and secondary market transactions. He’s also a Founding Member of the Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Mark earned his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
